Playing third person shooter on console and having the ability to slightly adjust aiming is super satisfying and easy more accurate than making trying to make minor adjustments on the stick.
Most people just hated it because "it too casul"

People hated sixaxis because they removed the rumble

Nobody complained when motion was an afterthought like it is on the ps4

I think joystiks for aiming back in the day were fine when things were slower and AI was shittier.
But not AI is getting more advanced, faster and aggressive and joysticks with auto aim just doesnt cut it anymore. I'm playing Horizon on ps4 and I wish I could use a mouse or use gyro aim to make slight adjustments. I dont want gyro to take over completely. But it's nice to be able to make those accurate shots.

Ah yes the "hold the controller in a special way that could be uncomfortable depending on your position" thing.

Because I adjust my seating during playing a lot I hated it. It was fine on 3DS/switch, but only because I would sit in certain positions to play those that allowed me to abuse it.

It only works for smaller-scale/simple games. Anything major and it just becomes a hassle.

And that format and style of control just evolved into VR. It never went away

That needs to die in a fire. I tried to play that Journey game on PS4, but the gyro control was literally impossible to turn off from what I could tell.
