Im deathly afraid of needles, but Im going to attempt to get vaccinated next time Im in town.

I would be less nervous skydiving out of a plane than I am about getting a needle put inside of my body.

Careful what you say, TC. CE expects you to wear a mask everywhere you go long after COVID is an after thought.

Also, you should go skydiving too. It's one of the most fun things you can do.

I dont think people with needle phobias (or any phobias for that matter?) understand it either. I certainly dont.

I made that argument, but I was being contrarian

Yeah sky diving is up there in my bucket list

Needle phobia was something I had as a child then grew out of... But I'm terrible with swallowing tablets whole (I fear I'll choke)

So I kinda get it. Good luck TC

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a covid vaccine, you may have important legal rights subject to time limits. You may be entitled to compensation from employers, manufacturers or others responsible for your vaccine exposure.

i looked away from it. it's the avoidance of pain more than the needle itself.
it's a necessary pain, the covid does alot worse than what the needle does.

also to note: i don't want to end up as a statistic on a death report or someone who got covid.

If phobias made sense they wouldn't be phobias.

Thatll probably be the route I take, just looking away till its done. Also, thats the justification I gave to myself to attempt to get over my fear

Idk if this helps you but both times I never felt the needle. Especially the first time, the nurse told me to look away (so I did) and while I was looking away we were just chatting along, then I got somewhat impatient and asked "so when are you going to do it," and she was like "I already did hun" I legit felt so confused, like there's no way she gave me the vaccine. I didn't feel anything... damn she was good >_>

Also I can confirm that she gave me the vaccine since afterwards I felt the vaccine side effects lol

Honestly, the more I see people talk about how they never feel the needle, or its a slight discomfort, the less anxious it makes me lol

I've had a needlephobia since I was 2, my pediatrician would have to chase me all over her office as I ran away under tables and chairs, I didn't even notice or feel the needles for my COVID shots go in. Shit is nothing.

When I was a kid I used to lock myself in the bathroom, and had to be enticed with promises of ice cream to come out. So I feel that lol

Yeah, I think I got this

Some injections are worse than others. I have to get a routine one that takes maybe 10 seconds to complete. The covid needle is a 1 second jab, you'll feel nothing.

I barely even felt the needles. Your arm is sore shortly after, but the actual injection was nothing for me.

Yeah you got this. Hell I forgot to mention that the only thing I felt during that vaccine visit was the nurse rolling up my sleeve....

I promise you that you won't feel it. The vaccine needle barely a mm thick. The only thing you'll feel is a little soreness the next day as your muscles are adjusting to it.

This isn't like back when I was in grade school back in 98', we got our flu shots and swear to god the needle was at least as thick as a crochet needle.
