I have a WiFi network. I want to get a second router, wireless connect to my first network, then have the second router broadcast a different SSID with a different password.

I want to isolate this second network as well, so no one connected to the second network can easily access the first networks stuff.

What is this called, so I can learn more about it? Its not a repeater, and its not a mesh

That would be a wireless bridge. I'm not sure if you'd be able to do that kind of thing in a single device, but it's possible. I haven't seen that particular use case.

Right. It seems like Bridge mode just extends the network, so itll be same SSID and same password. Im not sure how I can create a 2nd network with a 2nd SSID and password

I guess alternatively, having a guest network feature on on my router will essentially give me the same results. But will this slow down my primary network, for my router to broadcast two different SSIDs?

No. You would just want to make sure they broadcast on non-overlapping channels.
