IE: Secrets strewn about everywhere, actual reasons to rotate the camera to find stuff, big environments with various areas clearly being appropriate for differently leveled parties.

Early Access, but that was the same with both D:OS games as well. Full D&D 5e rule set, as the entire first Chapter. Only can use a Custom Character, not the Story ones. It's pretty f'n amazing, tbh. Made by the same people

Early Access, but if you take your time theres upwards of 20 hours of gameplay for a single playthrough right now. I believe it only the 1st half of chapter 1 right now, but Patch 5 comes out soon, so no knowing what they might add.

I've logged almost 300 hours in it just playing new toons and trying new stuff out. Found out if you summon a pet cat (find familiar) you can throw it like a weapon.

Edit: Its easier to answer questions tbh. Biggest thing is combat goes into turn based mode just like a DnD encounter, not like the first 2 Baldurs Gate where you could go in swinging like crazy.

Is there a way to make all the selective items highlighted? In DOS2 you could toggle it on and off, like a Box will be a color knowing you could click on it. Having a hard time seeing things in the starting ship, for example.

If you press [left] ctrl it shows most of the items you can grab/interact with. I'm sure by the full release it will be all. It does some stuff, but it will also tell you if a box/bag is empty when you push it down.

You can also zoom in to get a better look at your surroundings, and find secrets.

Few details I can think of for BG3:

• You can look ahead a decent amount to plan your attacks. It follows 5e, but if you're good you can abuse that.
• There are multiple paths to take to every situation, and paths to handle most of them
• Some items are invaluable. Theres a spider egg sack you can pick up and throw for an army of 6 spiderlings. Use it wisely.
• If you look on the Baldurs Gate 3 board, theres a topic about a Wizard. I have defined a full build around the best wizard (but it has to be an OC)
• Best class to play is honestly Ranger. Everything that was wrong with them on table top, and made them better. They can even function as a Fighter.
• All the party members you will currently recruit are "evil". This doesnt make them bad, but actually really adds to their character. Dont write off ANYONE.
• You can return to camp at most anytime to change out your party to fit your needs, just remember to swap out neccessary equipment when doing so.
• Check the reddit for more stuff, but theres a lot. Play it. Love it. PLAY IT.
