2 High Schools in Washington state are under fire for having anti-police and pro-BLM imagery in their yearbooks!!

The admins at Woodinville High School and Bonney Lake High School were forced to defend themselves when people attacked them for publishing the politically charged yearbooks

One student was pictured at a BLM rally holding an array of signs including one that said ACAB and the other at Bonney Lake had a 2 page spread about BLM that featured a drawing of a police officer attempting to assault a black person

Jason Rantz, a conservative radio talk show host in Seattle took issue with it claiming the school is anti-police and called the students DISRESPECTFUL for hating on the very people that save their lives

It was shown at a photo montage during a school graduation ceremony as Northshore District spokeswoman Lisa Youngblood Hall said staffers who put together the book were unaware of what it meant

She said "Honestly, many other staff members had to ask what it meant once the concern was brought to our attention. The situation was addressed with staff who are embarrassed and apologetic about including the image, and the unintended impact of this lack of insight".

At Bonney Lake that had a 2 page spread devoted to BLM and called it the protests that changed the world caused outrage for promoting a "violent movement" but Elle Warmuth defended it who said "with the purpose, in part to chronicle events, issues, pop culture and student life during any given school year, yearbooks often serve as a historical publication. The black lievs matter message presented a factual background on the movement and timeline of events" but said the asking for donations bit should not have been included.

As I didn't know, I can accept that the teachers who supervised the yearbook didn't know either.

Isn't the whole point of a yearbook so you can remember what was happening during that time in your life? I mean, I'm not supporter of the term "ACAB" (had to look it up) but that's part of their school time? If the school allowed it, then I don't really see the problem. Of course, the students might come to regret their decisions (or not, who knows?!) when they get older?

I didn't know what it meant. And I'm pretty sure the teachers didn't, either... Anyway, while I disagree with the sign, they can do whatever they want. It's their yearbook... When I was in school the seniors (in yearbook class) were the ones who made it... It's fine, I guess...
