Like how the fuck did the biggest and most profitable automative companies all arrive at the same conclusion that we just love touch screen controls for everyday, primary car functions?

Gotta change the fan speed on the air con? Ok, navigate to Menu, then to Climate Control, then select Fan Speed, then tap the "-" button several times. That's clearly so much better than just adjusting a wheel that gives tactile feedback. Totally safe and normal to operate a screen that requires your full visual attention.

You employ PHD level engineers and experienced marketing execs and this is the best you can come up with. Unresponsive flat screens that add several steps to every basic action you want to perform. FUCK.

I despise touch controls in cars. With all the screeching about the dangers of phone use while behind the wheel (because it is indeed dangerous), they go and put a giant fucking iPad in the center console that's just as distracting.
