They either do that because they don't have side pockets (ironically, despite the fact that there are many, many more clothes available for women than for men, practical clothing for women is ridiculously rare), or because they do want you to take a sneak peak at their ass, but not staringly gawk, because that is considered weird, creepy and embarrassing.

You ever seen the front pockets on womens jeans or pants in general. If they do have a pocket, big if, then theyre usually small as shit and could maybe hold chapstick. Maybe.

Who cares if you look or not. It's an enjoyable male thing and we may as well make the most of it.
