But to say it's impossible to interpret it as racist is just wrong. It's hard enough getting people who can do the job to a degree of accuracy without worrying about their ethnicity or skin colour. Like having your moderation staff be a super majority composition of a bunch of white dudes in their 30s is only going to get you so far. To me it's been pretty clear since the BLM movement went mainstream that this site isn't really equipped to handle anything but the most blatant of racial issues.
