Even at our best, all of us working together, this might be something that is beyond our control unfortunately at this point. Im usually an optimist about stuff, sometimes obnoxiously so I have been told, but seeing the severity of this heat wave it cant help but feel like things are finally coming to a head. I called into work but not sure if they can find anyone else (who actually has AC in their car) to cover for me and I work with the elderly so I can't just abandon them. Had relatives say driving around in 112 heat for 3 hours could lead to me passing out, and I don't wanna risk hurting someone because of that. That is what led me to call in, so hopefully they can find a replacement. Might be hard to find someone who will volunteer to go out today for 16.75 an hour though. If it ever becomes too hot to bear in the lower 48, I predict a mass exodus to Alaska. Alaska will be warmer too but basically it was just be like how other states are right now. Still comfortable We have plenty of unused land in the wilderness of the state.
