It's hard to tell now that I've played it so many times. I remember struggling my first playthrough, especially with the climbing stages.

If you don't try to get that red gem, it's doable with enough lives and checkpoints.

I only played the Remaster. I found a couple stages tough but overall... no?

Hard? Maybe, but it's not so much "good" difficulty as poor camera and occasional shoddy design.
I'm playing it for the first time, actually. Kind of feels like Sonic the Hedgehog or Donkey Kong Country: the design team has something here, they just don't quite get it yet. Looking forward to getting to the next one. ... Copied to Clipboard!
