Background: I'm a 28 year old man. I've been taking estrogen and testosterone blockers since February of this year

One thing is the awkwardness you feel. I've been having this extreme desire to socialize and meet new people, and be intimate, but i feel so weird about it. My body is currently in this in between phase of masculine and feminine. With my shirt off, I feel so odd. With people who understand and make me feel comfortable, it's ok. For instance I slept with a friend recently, first time being intimate in years. She was very nice and gentle with me. But there have been people I've had my eye on, that I feel I can't get to know because if they saw the true me they'd think I'm a total oddball

Of course that's all in my head, but I just don't expect randoms to be very understanding

Another thing is the sex, and even masturbation. Climaxing like this is almost nothing like it was when I was strictly my assigned gender from birth. Now, it's like...I shake. Tremors. It actually takes me a minute to get my bearings. I tremble a bunch. I laugh, involuntarily, mind you. It's like as close to my mind going blank as I've ever been. I just wanna embrace the person I'm with while the tremors and laughing run their course. It's extremely intense, and I wasn't ready for it.

In fact it was so intense, I have extreme reservations about being intimate again. It's such a loss of control and I'm just so not used to that. I literally laugh, as a reflex. It feels very good but very draining. It's cool but scary

Which aspect?

The reservations, I'm 99% sure are due to hrt. If I had the body I had 6 months ago, I wouldnt be very self conscious. Now, I feel like if I get with a guy or girl they'll be put off by the fact that I have a guy body in every way except I have actual breasts. And my thighs are fat now >.>

My sense of smell has gotten much better. HRT, combined with having quit smoking, have brought my smell to new heights. I can smell like Hannibal it's actually crazy. I can smell deodorant the next cubicle over. I can detect changes in my scent. Certain fragrances give me a headache now lol

Idk why estrogen makes me better able to smell but I'll take it

Shab I get that you have things against capitalism and have an appreciation for communism but the Chinese government is not an entity to be looked up to in that regard and putting them on a pedestal given what they have done and continue to do is misguided even if you agree with certain base principals. Furthermore, regardless of your history with tc (I have some as well), this is not an appropriate context to be bringing up stuff like that, especially with that level of hostility.

Tc, interesting read. Glad to see you're positive abiut things and I would imagine there's an adjustment process that takes some time, so best wishes through that, though it seems like you are already in a good place about everything which is awesome.
