I'd say that's the first elim that was too early. I am going to disagree that the worst stage is still in this - the worst stage went out Day 1.

Wow, the 4 worst ones are gone already. This is an impressively nice order (Snowmans Land is slightly out of place...but it's middle of the road at best). I'd be ok with any of the remaining ones winning. Mario 64 is that good.
