I remember going to see The Rugrats Movie in theaters in late 98 but I'll be honest and say I more remember walking into a wrong screening (The Waterboy) than I do of The Rugrats Movie <__<

The one that sticks out the most with me was seeing The Phantom Menace in theaters.

I want to say it was Lion King. At least it's the first one I have a fond memory of seeing, and we stopped to buy the soundtrack on cassette on the way home.

What's weird is I saw nearly every Disney Renaissance movie in theaters EXCEPT The Lion King, and I have no idea why we skipped that one.

Mulan. I was six years old.

My parents claimed they took me to movies before that. Supposedly I ran up and down the aisles when they took me to see The Lion King... which I believe, because I would have been all of two years old at the time which would explain why I have zero memory of it and probably had zero patience to sit through an entire movie. This prompted my father to exclaim that "we're not taking him to any more movies until he can ask to see them," which, fair enough, but he was always weirdly hateful to me about it. Like dude, you're the Einstein that decided to take a toddler to a theater.
