i grew up playing basketball during the tracy mcgrady days

and the way he (and other basketball players) celebrated after a made 3 pointer was to make this symbol:

so i trained myself to always indicate "3" with those same fingers (most people just use the middle 3 fingers, excluding the pinky and the thumb)

to this day, this is still my default way

i was on an airplane and they came by with a list and asked me which drink i wanted. i flashed the "3" sign and the stewardess gave me a dirty look
