Current Events > Anyone else take forever to throw up?

Takes so long for me after being nauseous. Ill be in the bathroom for what seems like hours with a watery mouth spitting and sometimes dry heaving thinking its finally going to happen Eventually I will but it freaking sucks that it takes so long. Im too much of a coward to drink a lot of water or stick my fingers in my mouth.

For the thousandth time Im going to tell myself Ill never drink again.

No, when I know something isn't right, I'm aware of it. Then my eyes will widen and my mouth will start to salivate, that's how I know it's going to soon be time to yak.

Nah I'm a pro at puking. It's a weird thing to be good at but my gag reflex is nothing, I can puke on command.

How did you come across this topic after 2 days? Lol, Ive recovered since then thankfully. Didnt throw up as much as I tried. Finally was able to sleep it off.

How the fuck do you drink too much and take hours to throw up? It will hit me within seconds and i'll throw up in my lap sometimes.

I've only thrown up twice. Once from a stomach virus, once because I stole and ate everyone's lunches.

I haven't puked since I was about 20 years old. 35 now. It did used to take me awhile to get it out though.

I'm in the same boat. It's not physical with me though, it's mental. I'll be over the toilet feeling like shit (for whatever reason, usually hangovers or too much to drink because I get the spins -- or the occasional food poisoning), nauseous, just knowing that I've gotta vomit to get myself to feel better. And I know I have the ability to make it happen too, all I gotta do is just kinda trigger my gag reflex by moving my throat a little bit when I'm feeling that awful, then the floodgates open.

Even knowing that I will feel better once I yak, I still just can't mentally get myself to that trigger point. without kneeling over the toilet and psyching myself up for what feels like an hour. All because the actual vomiting is no picnic. All I gotta do is get faster at convincing myself to move past that trigger point and my hangovers/food poisonings will go away slightly more quickly.

Man I drank enough to be drunk, but not black out drunk. My body is just weak. After getting home a couple hours later, the nausea just hit me. Got a pit in my stomach thinking I was gonna throw up at some point. Was in the bathroom for hours with my mouth watering, burping, and trying to cough, but all I did was dry heave. I mostly sat on the bathroom floor passing in and out wanting to fall asleep, but the pit on my gut kept waking me up.

It wasnt until 8 am when I couldnt stay up any longer and finally passed out. Woke up with no more pit and feeling better. No hang over either lol.

Yeah. Back when I had a gallbladder attack. I felt like I needed to throw up but nothing was coming out. It was pretty bad.
