Board 8 > 2 Cops get PRISON for BEATING 11 PORCUPINES to Death and ENJOYED It!!!!

2 former Maine Police Officers AND former Marine Corps Members were sentenced to PRISON for a horrific beating of 11 PORCUPINES where they used their batons to hit the animals to death..and they apparently ENJOYED it according to an officer who blew the whistle on them!!

28 y/o Addison Cox and 31 y/o Michael Rolerson were fired from the Rockland Police Department and sentenced to hard time on Thursday as Rolerson received 270 days with 20 days suspended and Cox received 90 days with 10 days suspended as well as both receiving 6 months probation and community service

Rolerson admitted to killing 8 of the porcupines while Cox killed 3.

They plead guilty to animal cruelty and NIGHT HUNTING and were BORED so they were looking for something to kill

Rolerson was hit with a longer sentence since the bald headed mannequin was a senior officer as Cox said he was just trying to "emulate" him since he looked upto him

The disturbing allegations came to light when a fellow officer heard about the abuse and blew the whistle to their superiors

They were both Marine Corps veterans who served in Afghanistan with Rolerson revealing he had PTSD from his time overseas as both are now receiving mental health treatment from the Veterans Administration

D.A Natasha Irving said their mentel health from serving overseas was a mitigating factor but said "Ultimately, i want them to never hurt another living thing against, i think that addressing the mental health component is an important part of it"

In 2018, Cox was awarded a life saving award for responding to a call of a man who was stabbed and he stopped teh bleeding with a tourniquet and then a Silver Star fro the Police Hall of Fame for pulling 2 people out of a burning building

Ironically, Cox saved a RACCOON who was looking for his mother as he was able to grab him and move him into a tree line when it was found on the road

Rolerson said the porcupines were ANNOYING and found so many at once claiming they were "pests" anyway

Now he must give up his Maine Criminal Justice Academy Credentials as part of his probation
