It feels dumb. Like ooo this thing is shiner than that thing, I must have it! Even if it does something that makes stuff minorly more convenient, who cares? Not to the extent I would compromise my morals or take advantage of anyone, and I prioritize having a job that challenges me and helps me grow as a person over just the paycheck. But your grandkids and great grandkids, etc.?
