Remember conservative values like telling the truth, respecting your elders, going to church, respecting the troops, following the law, doing an honest day's work, not boasting of your own good deeds, and being accountable for your actions? I'm not saying that all of those work in practice, but they're all good ideas in theory and could make for good moral lessons.

Why can't a self-professed conservative author of children's books teach on those? Why does it have to be passive-aggressive hatred of transsexuals and of people who want to escape from their designated social scripts?

I almost have to admire this author's con game. They're telling conservative parents what they want to hear and are likely going to make bank from it. But I can't condone attempts to validate hatred or bigotry.

It's not really that ridiculous. Conservatism is an actively harmful and vicious ideologies, so it makes sense that people would be outraged when they try to express themselves to children. We're supposed to protect children from conservatives and creepers.
