The storytelling needs to be simple and direct. Your elf story might be good for kids in elementary school and above but this is for kids three and under. That said, it being too on the nose is a valid criticism. There probably is a more elegant way to teach this than literally naming it "Antiracist Baby." But things like that usually disappear naturally over time. If it's not good, it will go away. But it's nothing worth getting mad over. At worst, it's a harmless book that isn't very good and will be forgotten ten years from now. Or maybe it's brilliant and will become a classic children's book on Dr. Seuss level.
