I've been on water slides before, and there's nothing on them to decapitate people. I just have a hard time wrapping my head (pun not intended) around the idea of someone literally losing their head on a water slide. I know that the water slide itself was supposedly dangerous and failed to pass safety inspections, but I don't understand how a water slide can cut off their head.

The slide had a cover that was supported by poles, the raft caught air under it and floated and and his neck hit the pole at a high speed iirc

I remember that story, there were two adult females unrelated to the boy on the same raft. Must have been the most traumatic thing to them. Also I kept reading on Reddit that people were accusing them of been really overweight and causing the raft and slide to malfunction (dont know if its true but still doesnt matter it makes 100x worse to live through that too)
