As a huge Dragonball fan, I've always loved Goku. And when a Superman fan tells me that Goku would lose in a fight, I can totally see it happening depending on which incarnation of Superman they're talking about. Ultra instinct and the recent boosts in powerlevels regardless, having a conversation with a DC fan regarding Superman seems more grounded in the fact that they talk about actual FEATS.

However, when we come to the point where a person says, "Oh *Blank* can beat *Blank* because they literally beat God in their anime/game" or "*Blank* can do *Blank* because in their universe thats what they do" that means fuck all in terms of the overall fight.

These people don't seem to understand that if we are comparing two people from two totally different franchises/universes; we cannot use the argument that their 'story based feats' if I can put it that way, can ever be used as a valid point. For example, and I see this a LOT with One Punch man fans; "One punch man can win because he is a gag character" or "Saitama can win because he punches people once and thats it". Regardless of the latter fact being wrong or not, using these types of arguments serves pretty much nothing other than showing your complete lack of ability to take into account the other characters ability or 'story based feats'. Which is why those types of arguments have no standing in a versus topic.

Its so easy to say Arale can beat Saitama because she is also a gag character who punched SSJB Vegeta to the moon with ease. See how that works? Next time in a versus topic, keep in mind those types of excuses fail to actually explain what your character can do when fighting someone from another franchise.
