Concerts never. But I think I'm either getting too old for festivals now or just realizing that they've always sucked. Probably won't stop going to them if someone I like is playing though.

Everyone is too old for festivals because they suck ass. Spending multiple days in a row standing around in the hot sun surrounded by smelly people, too far away from the stage to make anything out, just to see 2 bands you really like and 14 other bands you dont really care about.

eventually youll be at the age where the age appropriate idea of fun would be chillin at an all inclusive beach resort and laying on the beach relaxing in the sun or hitting up the nice/fancy buffets

That's how you know you're too old.

For me, it was about 30. I've got a bad knee, I need breaks to sit down and shit instead of being on my feet all day (especially out in the hot ass sun).

I don't think there's necessarily a "too old" so much as there's a window during which it stops being cool for you to be there, but then when you get old enough it becomes cool again.

Think of it this way: if you're at a metal fest and some 40-year-old comes rocking up in his cargo shorts looking like somebody's dad, obviously that guy is too old to be there. But if a 60-year-old comes walking up in an old-ass tour shirt for a band that doesn't exist anymore and starts head-banging, you're gonna think that old guy is cool as shit

I mean they make festivals for older folks now too

tbh I still have no trouble finding lots of acts to get excited for at plenty of fests but I like keeping up with new music

youd be surprised how many suburbanites and young bandwagoners pretending to know all about their music go to their shows

The last Metallica show I went to, I knew for sure they didnt really care for whats going on because they were either on their phones, taking selfies, or staring at the band having no idea whats going on
