I enjoyed most of it but similar to other M Night movies the overarching plot had a lot of issues. I don't like how they managed to stumble upon what was causing their situation out of nowhere. Opining about the rocks and someone made a journal somehow scientifically explaining the entire phenomenon. It was really too easy.
And why wasn't the rapper character already aged by the time they got there? He was there overnight. He should have been nearing death by the time the first group arrived anyway. But it also had the most terrifying scene I've ever seen in a film with the woman who devolved into a cave witch and became a broken limbed lump. That whole scene was horrifying. Did anyone see it? Did you see it in theaters or is it streaming on something yet? I thought the trailer looked interesting. It reminds me of a YA book I read as a kid called The Singularity that I really enjoyed.
