MCI - Telemarketing.
This was the worst job I've ever had. We were cold calling people to sell them long distance phone service. MCI had a terrible reputation and I saw at least a few reasons why. There was a dude in my training class who threatened to kill people. This was the last time I ever worked at a company that didn't do background checks. I left this job without having anything else lined up. TJ Maxx - Retail I was desperate for a job and started working here. I told them I needed 35 - 40 hours/week to make it. They gave me 20 hours/week. I was overdrafting on my bank account just to pay for gas to make it to work many weeks. On top of that, they were spreading my shifts out into 4 or 5 closing shifts every week. Then they cut me down to 15 hours/week. I started looking for another job and quit without giving a 2 weeks notice once I got one. ISP tech support I think part of my issue here is that I stayed too long. I ended up being pretty good at this job. I moved up from trainee to level 2 tech support rep in about 13 months. I was in the running to get promoted to level 3, but they stopped promoting people to level 3 and just gave all the level 3 work to level 2s. This company was shady AF. I left after a little over 4 years. Remote desktop tech support (Geek Squad) This job was better than doing ISP tech support, but I still had to deal with a lot of customers that I didn't like dealing with. The main source of revenue for the company was the Geek Squad calls, but we were contracted through a company called Support Space. Support Space company was shady as hell. GTT Communications (Network Engineer) I started working for GTT as a part of an acquisition of another company. GTT's CEO at the time was a snake. It didn't take me long to realize that no one liked working for the company. GTT would buy companies every quarter, cut them in half, and lay off some of their own staff as a part of the acquisition. Some dude who worked there for 16 years got laid off. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I quit every job I ever had prior to being self-employed. Being an employee for someone else sucks.
