-High attack and HP stats
-Can literally dish out a crap ton of damage without a weapon -Super cheap to maintain -Sometimes they can even heal party members -Has Tifa and her glorious jugs as a proud member of their class Yeah, their defense is kinda ehhhhh but who cares!! Monks/B. Belts are pretty fucked up, yeah.

On the FF1 board, theres a 13 year old thread where someone was able to simulate battles between various monsters in the game to see who would win. At one point, they did a pair of level 50 unarmed black belts (monks) vs Lich2, Kary2, Kraken2, Tiamat2, WarMech and Chaos all at once.

the only downside was on the nes there defense was so bad if someone sneezed in their direction they would be KOed
but a single monk could deal 1000 damage in one turn to chaos the final boss who only has 2000 hp --- yusketeer ... Copied to Clipboard!
