Ocean would be ideal but I fear it as much as I am in awe of it so that could get tiring. River, possibly too many critters. So I chose lake.

River. Lakes are nice, but rivers are very calming to me. Oceans scare the crap out of me because of hurricanes and sharks.

River probably.
I love visiting the Ocean, and just smelling it. Lakes are great. But Rivers are so nice...or just brooks...Bachs!! Most of my favorite days have somehow involved The Hudson.
