Some anti-vaxxers are having trouble separating Hollywood drama from the reality of a deadly virus, citing Will Smiths blockbuster I Am Legend as the basis for not getting vaccinated. In the film, a purported cure for cancer sparks chaos when people start turning into zombies. There is so much misinformation about the vaccine that some people actually seem to think the plot of the movie is true. The films screenwriter said on Twitter, Oh. My. God. Its a movie. I made it up. Its. Not. That seems obviously less "it'll turn everyone into vampires/zombies" and more "the undertested vaccine will have side effects worse than the disease".
