Yeah I got a $60 one off of amazon. It's nice on my legs but if you go over a bony area it beats the fuck out of you so be careful. You're also apparently not supposed to use it on an area for more than 30 seconds at a time to prevent bruising.

Yeah, a $200 one. It did nothing for me, about as intense as a small child karate chopping your legs

do you feel yourself tapping out around that time; or just listen to the recommendation

the pain happened from sitting cross-legged, Indian style, for extended periods of time.

im hoping the muscle is just really right.

I keep having this weird sensation radiate from my hips to my knee.

usually after straightening my leg

I'd try glute strength training before buying a massage gun, personally

Activating the glutes relieves pain in the IT band. Massage does not

My roommate has one and I've tried it

They honestly don't feel like anything too different/crazy from the massage shit that's been around forever

I guess it's nice if you like those other vibrating massage things.

ive been trying to do squats randomly throughout the day, which seems to be helping.

it almost feels like my legs atrophied. Which doesnt make sense since I climb stairs at work frequently during the work days

You can kinda feel it after a while depending on the intensity setting but it does make leg day a bit more bearable.

Sumo deadlift, pistol squats and squats on your knees if weights aren't available to you.

Ignore the rest of your legs and focus only on squeezing your butt cheeks together. The more you can "feel the burn" the more relief you'll have

If the issue is tight hamstrings, that's going to hurt a lot. Source: happened to me

They're pretty nice but honestly just get a jigsaw and add the little plunger attachment on to it. Way better than any massage gun I've used.
