Now if they'd fix the fucking game. They're also losing the Stranger Things license and removing the Hawkin Lab map. We'll still have Steve Nancy and Demogorgon just won't be able to purchase them after November

It's weird that they would build content around a license they can't keep. But if it's just the lab map I don't see why they couldn't just call it like, anything else and just keep the map anyway.

I don't understand how Behaviour operates sometimes. Incorporating content based on other IP's can draw new players to the game, creating the opportunity to engage them and keep them playing (and paying) even after the content is gone. --- This is my signature. Sure but these people are paying actual money for skins and characters. Granted, in this case, it sounds like they get to keep whatever limited license to use those characters for the player base, but they're taking away the map they're attached to and I wouldn't be surprised if other IP's fall into a situation where they can't continue to keep even the base characters. It also restricts other players from buying those characters in the future which, in Dead by Daylight's case, mean's that attributes and perks that can only be obtained by those characters are effectively now locked out to any new players. I don't recall if the Nancy/Steve characters have any perks that are part of the 'meta', nor do I recall if the Demogorgon has any that are part of the killer 'meta', but if they did then those things would no longer be available to a vast swath of the community. That's a pretty significant deal in what is kind of a pay-to-win game. I don't personally buy any of these new things just to play towards the meta because I don't care about winning as an end all be all goal, but a lot of people do. I suspect part of the reason they refer to other characters not as their character name but other stuff I suspect because it would make it easier for them to de-IP their character. For example, Michael Myers is referred to as "The Shape". All it would take for him not to be Michael Myers is basically change his original character skin and remove that from being available while maintaining the character/gameplay he brought to the table. --- I promise that if the game stinks I will make a topic about how I hate it and you can all laugh at me - Mead on Fallout 76 ...
