I only owned what could fit in my duffel bag for a few years, including my sleeping mat and wool blanket This summer I've attempted a six month period of buying nothing at all aside from grocery store food. It's made me more grateful for the things I have and care less about materialism. That's not gonna enrich your life, you're sleeping on a mat. If you slept on grass out on a field, that would be one thing but a mat? This week I got tired of my small screen space (23 inches) and bought a second monitor (27 inches) and monitor arms, Madden 22, Cyberpunk 2077, and that Jackbox Humble Bundle. The first two items were paid for by credit card points though. But I didn't buy anything besides food and digital games in June and July. That said, I'm far from a minimalist. I just try to avoid doing things like buying stuff online then never using it for years.
