People talk a lot about the press being in the Dems pockets but when it comes to ending wars they make sure to get every talking head that wants us back in the region on television and in print. I did read through that article and honestly I'd say the white house did spin their description a bit, but they weren't entirely insincere.

Democrats have a better chance of winning the next election if Kamala Harris is the standing president.
People are mad at Joe Biden for how he's handled the withdrawal (and they should be mad at him for leaving border children in Trump cages). Harris is a new start and a possible shot at galvanizing members of certain demographics. Even if she's done things in the past like putting people away on petty drug charges, she's still a door opening for candidates to follow. America could have its first female president and its second Black president. Maybe it's a little unfair to Joe Biden to want him out of the office to make way for progress, but I don't mind since all the man's done is maintain the status quo and trip things up. ...
