What age

Just curious. I started losing mine when I was 24 last year. I began taking finasteride as a result......

I haven't started losing my hair and I doubt I will. All the older people in my family still have full heads of hair. But yeah, I thought balding was a middle aged thing until a few years ago, when I met some guys in their early 20's that were balding.

I haven't yet, and no signs of it, just some grey patches but my hair is still really thick and fast growing. Looking at my family history, hardly any of the males in my family went bald, they just had full grey hair

25, the first time I started losing weight. I think that's the culprit for it because when I stopped staying in a deficit, it stopped falling out and even regrew a little bit. However, when I started up in a deficit again, it started falling out more. The first six months of this year was the longest stretch in three years that I was either at maintenance or in a surplus and after about five months, I noticed all these little baby hairs popping up. Unfortunately, I went back into a deficit and within one month, they were all gone. I'm going to try to hit my goal weight of 200 by the end of the year but after that, I'm done trying to lose weight. I need to see if my hair can come back. 33 now btw.

18 is when I noticed amounts of hair falling out that were more than usual.

I took Propecia for the next 5 or so years, which helped, but I eventually got tired of throwing money awag and risking side-effects on a losing battle and stopped. I'm 32 and still have hair but I'm pretty close to shaving it all off.

I think I was 15 when I noticed it receding. It was thinning noticeably by the end of high school. I started shaving it at 19 or so. At this point I would rather it just not grow anymore to save myself the time.

How much was it? The price of generic brand finasteride has went down. I pay about $25 a month from my prescription, and that's only because I opted for a store closer by. Had I picked a store that was located a little farther away, it would have been $12 a month. To me, that's nothing. But I know years ago, it wasn't like that.

I'm personally not worried about the side effects. I've been taking it for a year and haven't faced any, and even if you do you can just stop taking the drug and the side effects will go away. It sounds like you didn't actually suffer from side effects, you were just fearing them. There's a YouTuber I watch a lot who recently debunks post finasteride syndrome and went over why a lot of the testimonies are not accurate. It's just one guy's opinion but he seems credible.

At that time it was $75-$100 bucks a month. And while I never did suffer from the side-effects, I still didn't love that they existed for a purely superficial thing. On top of that, I couldn't donate blood while on it and it didn't sit right with me that people weren't getting a blood donation from me just because I wanted to slow down my hair loss.
