I was already losing weight so I'm not sure how much it has helped but I've noticed that large shirts have gotten a bit looser on me

Anything is better than nothing if you're just concerned with weight loss. Even if it's mostly just helping with caloric restriction. I prefer to go every day so my body knows when to expect meals, to eliminate getting hangry in the morning

Isn't it self-sabotaging to not do it every day? You need to train your body to not be hungry outside of your eating window. Or is this just a quirk of mine?

if hes reducing calories then its probably working for him

and I think just letting your body be hungry for a while sometimes has a lot of benefits on the body and mind. We didnt evolve to have our appetite sated all the time.

Appetite exists to tell you to eat more food not to foster some sort of spiritual awakening. There's literally no reason to sit and be hungry if you can avoid it while still eating healthily.

I think I'm going to try to do it every day, I haven't eaten anything today yet and it's already been like 11 hours.

I think I can do it as long as I don't have a double at work (we hired more people recently so I doubt that'll be much of an issue) or have some sort of family event

A few days a month of not doing IF will be fine right @Clench281 ?

wow you took a lot of leaps between my post and what you responded with, nobody said anything about a spiritual awakening, I just dont think it is healthy to be completely satiated 24/7

I think it's better to train yourself to not eat unless you are hungry, even if it means not eating for most of the day. also to stop eating if you start feeling full

I could try that, my plan is to just go into every day with the mindset that I'll do it, and if I break that's fine (unless it starts becoming too common, then I'll try another strategy)

It exists to motivate you to get more food, it's designed to go off before you need more food as throughout history food hasn't been immediately available.
