He comes across as a bit standoffish because he's slightly on the spectrum, but from all accounts, he's a solid dude. Basically Adam's a self important jackass with a hugely inflated ego. His on screen persona is completely an act he's expertly able to turn on an off for the camera like a lightswitch. There's a reason why he does solo work/doesn't stick with the same people for very long.
