I'll give it credit that the gacha units don't power creep that much and old and free units are still pretty viable if you use them right.

Most of the power creep comes from raising the level cap. The only way they can make money from that is if you buy stamina, and honestly who does that >_>

Compare Archie to Cheren...
Olivia is good because her sync grid is good. Even so, Emet is a much better unit.
Even Red is gradually getting outclassed by the likes of Leon and probably Reshiram.
Summer Steven fell off incredibly hard.

I think there's definitely been more power creep from units than raising the level cap from 120-140, which is something like a 10% increase. They've done a pretty good job at keeping older units relevant, but I think it's mostly because 1. the game is pretty easy, 2. new units don't come out fast enough to fully replace old ones. Most of their money comes from people buying gems to 3/5 or 5/5 their waifus.

I'm still waiting on that OP Agatha grid, though...

Lol, I finally got everyone I had to 125, was going to start farming more tomes for 130, and then they tell me 140 is happening.

Oh well, at least it's farmable character growth rather than something you have to spend gems on.

Also, just going to the training area every day and targeting specific trainers. You can probably max 1 a day by going to Level Cap and Level Cap 2

That's why I never pull until I have 40k gems, that way I can be *sure* I get at least the one trainer I want most via pity.

Right now I'm hoarding for Halloween. I still want that Acerola from last year, but I also want to see if anyone new shows up this year.
