I'm going to bingo with all the old people. All I needed to do was say my stomach was ill.

I went to Bingo once and I knew I should have faked being sick. I should have told him I was coming down with something. But I'd have to explain myself to my friends, and I just didn't want to do that. I wanted to be honest with them. I wanted to tell them the truth.

"Well, I just feel like . . . no offense to you, TC, but I just don't feel like seeing you. It's just that I've had a very rough few days. I don't know if you can relate, but you know how I am. I just get so upset. So, you understand."

My eyes would have been really wide at the time I told you that, and it would be obvious I was lying through my teeth. But you wouldn't even look surprised, just taking it in stride.

"Yeah, I understand," you'd say. "And just because I wanted to see you in the past week, I can't force you to come to me or anything. I just wanted to see you tonight."

What's wrong with bingo?

Nothing. I've done bingo for quite a few years. It's a few hours of relaxation and sometimes you win something. Although, the only bingo hall open is the boring one tbh.

I just hate randomly going with my mom's friends that are old enough to be her parents. I'm not a people's person, and it's just awkward for me.
