If it didnt have final fantasy as its title it likely wouldnt have sold as much but on the other hand I doubt people would hate on it nearly as much --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!" When you do a "paradigm shift" to change roles in battle, it refreshes your ATB bar and you immediately get you next turn IF it's been long enough since the last time you did that (usually about 2 rounds). That lets you speed up the battles a bit (the game encourages speed) and makes them a bit more active. Iirc its every other paradigm shift that doea a atb reset. But you probably don't want to be counting off seconds all the time, so the rule of thumb is that it usually takes 2 rounds of turns. I guess every other shift was about that long for me then.
