Man, they perfectly complimented the citrusy flavor profile of a whole bag of Skittles.

Then they replaced the lime with the overtly sour green apple flavor. Bleh

Ultimately the problem with Lime Skittles was that they dont make a great candy. They are just candy. If thats all you want, then great. But there is something more to them, or at least the flavor. Its got a real, natural tartness to it. In other words, its not just candy. Its a candy. Its a special thing. It was special at a time in the 1950s when the world was still being discovered, but Im not sure its really the sort of thing you could get in the market today. I still think theyd be great with, say, a big, sweet ice cream like Haagen-Dazs.

I found Skittles on Twitter, which is something of a miracle. I often have my phone on silent, so that sounds like nothing, but this happened in a different life. I was in bed, thinking about which accounts I should follow, and one thing just led to another.

No I never ate Skittles because of their rainbow theme. I don't associate with leprechauns.
