Because at 5 foot 11 I'm taller than 90 percent of dudes I see. Am I just living shorter areas? I feel like.... Everyone exaggerates their height which has warped the national mean lol

The average for the USA is 5'9 and a quarter for guys. Average female height is actually 5'3.8 Damn. That's actually a bit shorter than I thought it would be.

Again going by USA (please excuse me if you're from elsewhere) at 5'11" you're fair bit above average at 71.8% So essentially if you go by the odds it means only 28.2% of guys you come across will be taller than you. Every 1 in 4 should be. And just for fun, only 0.5% of females will be as tall or taller than you. Less than 1%. If you run into a taller girl, look down. According to the stats she's likely wearing high heels.

My literally height. I actually rounded down so Id be the same height as the rapper Royce da 5'9". There was never a time I felt like my height mattered. The internet fucked up people's head later on.

I'm 6' and don't really feel tall. Sure, there's not many people that are noticeably taller but there's also not too many noticeably shorter either.

It does feel weird when an exceptionally tall person is talking to me though. Had a 7' guy check in at work about a month ago and having to actually look up to make eye contact felt weird. lol
Usually just glancing upward is enough, or slight tilt.

Edit: Also a former coworker describes herself as "incredibly tall for a woman" at 5'6. My inner dialogue was "are you though?"
She didn't really seem tall.

idk about being taller than 90% of the guys I see (I would say I'm taller than 80% of the guys I see around here) but as someone who's 5'11 it's always been weird to see how I'm considered short by internet standards but I've always been considered "tall" by people irl

Then again most people lie about their height all the time, I've seen so many guys who are shorter than me say they're 6'0 lol, idk if people really measure their height with their shoes or something >_>
