Did the bad snipe impact other people's saves decisions?

I remember we were having that debate... recently? a while back?... on whether a lawyering is any early save that affects the outcome, or only one that affects another person's save decision. Debate was inconclusive (certainly since lefty didn't give his opinion - guess we'll see)

yeah not long ago I mentioned the case of Drak getting banned over an Ashe/Setzer lawyer, said ban hinged on the fact that I had only tried to save Setzer (not realizing they were the final 2) because I thought Drak had successfully saved Ashe (he was early)

which isn't the case here

It works out this time because Turus saved Galuf. If he had seen the the early save, figured the round was over, and didn't save Galuf, Galuf would be out with no real recourse.

The key thing is that it was on time with his normal save, so he probably was planning on saving Galuf regardless

The only effect of the early save on this round was Kappa failing to get in the save of Tataru - Turus saved Galuf precisely on time and was definitely not swayed by Tataru being off the board, having saved Galuf over Tataru yesterday.

Tataru is out, but it's not a lawyering.

Fair verdict, but in case this pops up again in the future, I don't think it'd be fair to quiz a user on whether the early save impacted their save decision or not, like in GMUN's example. Puts them in the uncomfortable public position with a 5-round ban at stake. If it's not unambiguous like this case then it should be automatic.

That's just my opinion though.

(But I also didn't want Plasma getting banned as he's eternally in my good books for being part of the Cissnei crew during her run 3 years ago. I may forget everything in time but I remember the Cissnei savers...)

tbf there wasn't much of a quiz, I instantly reacted with my save intention when the early save was revealed

... although people were skeptical I'd save anyone over a FF6er (yet now I do it all the time for FFCC!)

It's a hypothetical where Turus sees the save and opts not to save Galuf. Put another way, what if someone refreshed, saw the early Tataru save, and didn't save her thinking she was safe?

Well I think I'm done with FFT. Literally the third battle (rescuing Algus or whatever) kicked my ass five times. Delita and Algus run straight to the back and never help. I've had a few good runs but inevitably they surround one of my guys and kill them from full health in one turn. I havent had much of a chance to even build a team yet, not sure what I could be doing differently other than camping forever and waiting for them to march out one at a time.

Even the second battle was annoyingly janky. I had the enemy chemist cornered for ten turns, only able to hit him with two guys and unable to do more damage than he could heal with seemingly infinite potions. I only won because eventually he decided to attack instead of heal. It just isn't fun.

I wanted to see more of Delita punching princesses in the gut, but ah well.

Yes, that's what you're supposed to do in these games.

SRPGs are mostly tedious affairs that are satisfying if you're interested in progress.

if killing all the enemies except for one, then using them to level your defense and healing statistics sounds fun, you're in the right place

My mom also just died suddenly less than a year ago so I can relate and you have my sincere sympathies-- I wouldn't wish that on anyone and certainly would not have had much focus on saving in SMFFFC in that time.

I'll try harder to get more saves in to pick up FFT slack while you grieve. Not that I've been good at this historically ha ha.
