Yes, it has a slew of awesome games. That's kind of why people liked it. The console itself had a shitty battery life and it was hard to see without all those handy light gadgets.

The SP was an amazing upgrade though.

Yeah. The battery life was good compared to other competitions but I still could only see in the house with the light on until I got the weird light addon.

Touted as a portable, but you're better off playing it indoors because it was a pain in the ass to see it outside.

The Gameboy and Gameboy Color were okay. The only classics were Zelda and Pokemon.

Gameboy Advance was the first handheld Nintendo system that I'd call a classic.

I remember struggling through Pokmon on the original but when the color was released, I ran through the original 2 plus Yellow with my brother. Fun times!

I had one that magnified the screen as well as lit it. But yeah, great games on that original GB. Just not the greatest technology. But it sure was something at the time though.

Absolutely. No more streetlights, no more playing in the glove compartment, just nonstop hardcore gaming. Until the batteries ran out and you had to wait until the weekend to go buy more. God the nineties were dark times.
