Gov Ron Desantis, literally every week, boasts about how the "seven day rolling average of deaths from COVID-19 is going down."

There's a reason he does this. The State of Florida takes 14-21 days to officially report deaths, retroactively. But it reports new cases almost daily. Their seven day rolling average for deaths is always going down, no matter how many cases are being reported daily.

I wouldn't wish for that. I wouldn't mind Florida going blue, but I'd hate for it to be from mass deaths. It's looking like that's probably how it's gonna go.

Not all of those 46k deaths are gonna be republicans. They're gonna be more than democrats for sure but mass death is a fucking horrible way to estimate elections notwithstanding the atrociously callous indifference to the suffering that happens so long as it "makes you win"
