Obviously have been hype but, in terms of the actual quality of the trailers themselves from an editing standpoint, it's been basically nothing but shottily cut confusing messes providing almost no coherent representation of the plot or characters.

It's relieving to see something like this, for sure. I got more narrative setup out of the first 30 seconds than anything so far.

Waiting on review, but I'll probably impulse buy it.

Tales is a weird series that I love, and also have major issues with almost every game, but it keeps dragging me back in.

I pre-ordered it. Tales is a wonky ass mess (or really great in Berseria's case), but I am starved for RPGs after a few months since P5S and Ys IX.

I'm falling into the trap of getting excited on the new entry in the series based on the quality of the previous one. The same thing happened with Berseria for the exact opposite reason, hopefully it won't be a mistake this time.

I want this new era of Baba-less Tales to prove itself!

Tales reviews notoriously matter very little, so unless it's hugely disparate from what the best games review or the worst games review, I don't think it will mean much.

I only see myself getting it if it has rave reviews, so it'll probably be a pass for me since tales games are rarely that spectacular. Berseria was close to a high point for the series though so I'm tenuously hopeful

I'm definitely getting it, it's just a matter of whether it's one of the very rare games that I get at release.

I honestly don't know whether to feel optimistic or not based on the promos. Still feels like there's potential for this to be a "one step forward/two steps back" installment in the Tales franchise.

Also, insert "same generic complaint about skits/victory battle screens that I've made 500 times now."

Torn on if in-engine skits with your costume's applied is worth losing the anime skits.

I really feel like Berseria was the pinnacle of skit composition for the series.
