Guns_of_Verdun 09/08/21 7:29:30 AM #1:	I know people give video games a low bar for storytelling but if your "game" is going to be 100% story and dialogue. You need to have a good story and well written dialogue. The story is awful, the dialogue is embarrasing and clunky, the options of what you can/can't do and say make little sense and are totally random/arbitrary. The voice acting is terrible,why spent 5 million dollars hiring celebs who phone it in when you could hire an actual voice actor for a fraction of the cost? And the "twist" is the silliest thing since the twist in Bionic Commado. Christ comedy adventure games from the 90s had better writing and less trial and error gameplay than this. Why do video game writers think brutalizing a pregnant chick into a bloody death is A+ writing? TLOU2 did this as well. It doesn't mean anything unless the player is invested in the characters. Just feels like they took Octacon's backstory from MGS2 and made a lame adventure game around it. Turns out ~~it was all a goofy therapy experience. None of it is happening in real life.
