I had no legitimate reason for having not known this before. I just never tried it until now. It worked and I did a thing so that I can still have audio through headphones instead of tv, so I can play skyrim on a larger screen while listening to music on headphones. I don't know why I didn't try it sooner lol.

Yeah with HDMI. It was very useful for my laptop when it was shattered to pieces and the LCD screen didn't work.

I just moved back in after being away for like 2 months due to renovations. Fridge is new, so this is possible. I will have to look for ports on it to find out for sure

Fun fact: TVs were used as monitors in the early days of home computers.

Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images.

Yeah. I could have with my last laptop too but I never tried. I just assumed my TV was too old even though it's hd too. I just never really bothered and assuned it wasnt compatible for some reason.

Initially the audio wasn't doing what I wanted (was forcing it to tv when I wanted it to stay on computer because headphones) but I just had to change an audio setting and it worked.

TV as a monitor is a great decision. i've been using a 55" TV as my PC monitor for like a decade. i sit on the couch with wireless keyboard + mouse and have at it.

I mean, you just have to say "Computer, on screen."

It's not difficult.

I don't think I have any of that fancy "smart" shit and I dont even use the voice commands on my remote...

And lol at post 8. I don't think so... not without a tv that is bigger and has better than 60 fps. Can't say that didn't cross my mind though lol

I can mirror my TV on my fridge...but I don't know why I ever would. Maybe for major sporting events.
