Besides the new game being a glitchfest, the main premise of the game is flawed. It's hard to transition moving fast for a 2-D platformer to 3-D without having the game play itself. Most of the new Sonic games have you just pressing up on the joystick and the homing attack auto locking on enemies. They should've done it like how Megaman 11 does it where you can slow down time, maybe have some parts in Sonic where the platforming is hard to do unless you slow down time or something. It would make for more interesting puzzles to solve and would give developers more creative ideas. As Sonic is now, it's almost impossible for this guy to have a good game going in this direction.

It's more like Sega gave them a tight deadline and very few resources because they wanted literally anything out for Sonic's birthday. Sonic is their flagship franchise and yet Sega treats him like shit.

The original Sonic Colors was a very solid game that was well received at the time of its release. I have SCU, but haven't played it yet. If the glitches and other issues are as widespread as I'm seeing, that's quite unfortunate as I was looking forward to replaying one of the actually decent Sonic games since the Genesis era.

Though it should be said that I'm not nearly as critical of the Sonic games as a lot of people are. There have certainly been quite a few missteps, but I also think some expectations and reactions to the 3D and 2D/3D games are blown out of proportion.

I was real bummed seeing how much of a shitshow Colors Ultimate turned out to be right out the gate. I didn't play any 3D Sonic games on the Wii, but I'd seen playthroughs of Colors and it looked pretty cool. Was really hoping to get a chance to finally play it in an updated re-release, but we all know how that's going right now.

Really hope they'll patch this shit real good, but I have a feeling even after they put out whatever's considered the last patch, there's still gonna be some issues here and there that'll never get addressed because Sega gonna Sega.

That game played like the shits, and every annoying obstacle were put in your way to stall you from playing what a Sonic the Hedgehog game was all about. Speed. It must of been the soundtrack that made people believe CD was a great game, or even the best Sonic game because I do agree the soundtrack is one of, if not, the best in the series.

Pretty much, lol. Shit like Black Knight, Riders, and Forces might be crap, but they're fun to mess around and make fun of. Even Sonic '06 is like a train wreck you can't look away from.

The stage design is absolutely horrible, like someone took Sonic 1's debug mode and just started pasting shit wildly. The music is so good, though.

I love Sega vowed to make Sonic games good again at the start of the 2010s, even going far enough to delist all of the games that scored low on Metacritic.
