First of all, please don't talk about any spoilers past where I am at. If someone else does, please call them out.

Someone just told something really depressing, and my mental Health has been kicking my ass and keeping me up all night. Figured doing one of these would cheer me up a bit.

So yeah, gonna try to beat Life is Strange True Colors in under 12 hours. Wish me luck!

So it starts off with the MC Alex leaving their group home that she's lived in for 8 years. Plan is to live with their brother, and get a job working at the brothers bar.

Alex meets up with their brother, Alex, and chose to hug him. This is where I learned that Alex can hear peoples thoughts, iirc the brother is actually nervous about you moving in, despite acting cheerful and confident.

Gabe and Alex head to the flower shop, and meet the owner, the owner hugging Alex, which makes them uncomfortable. They then walk inside, and they talk to the clerk, Riley. Riley asks her what her greatest weakness is, it's for a college project, and asks if she should tell the truth or lie. Alex CHOSE to say that she should give a convincing BS answer, as the truth only gets you so far. So true, especially on college and job applications! That's sadly what works with capitalism, and from what I understand LIS is a series that's willing to be honest about how fucked up the system is.

Alex reads Riley's mind, they're nervous about leaving the town. Alex remarks that maybe the town isn't so bad if Riley doesn't wanna leave it. Yeah, I'm guessing it's more she's got stockholm syndrome with where she lives.

Alex reads Gabe's mind. His first step is to make up with his partner Charlotte, and then if things work out, Char and Alex will become best friends.

Alex meets Ethan, Char's kid. He's into comics. My dude Ethan!

Anyways, Alex CHOSE to say that she wishes she could turn invisible.

Alex walks into a record store(What decade does this take place in. Anyways, Alex CHOSE Zombie Paradise, and Steph acted like a radio dj, and played the song. Alex then talked to Ryan, and and asked Alex what she thinks of the town. Alex CHOSE to say that they like it so far.

A quote came up "An outdoorsman call of birds" or something like that! Interesting. Guessing it'll come back up later.

Akex listens to some indie music. They remark on how this all feels so surreal, and they feel like they might wake up back in the group home again any moment. Poor Alex.

Ok, gonna take a bit of a break, post this, and continue. This is really good so far!

Ryan asked Alex what music Gabe listens to, and Alex chose Essential EDM...something. Something ironic apparently. Yeah, not sure what I picked. It led to me finding a kitty toy, which meant I got to read what Gabe is into. I CHOSE to say that Gabe was a badass when he was younger.

All of a sudden Steph comes in, on the phone, super upset. Gabe says he can handle the store if she needs to take out for an emergency. Gabe shows up, and mentions that Ryan is his best friend.

Apparently Ethan and Gabe are LARPers. That's kinda cool...maybe, I don't know.

Alex CHOSE to tell Gabe that Ethan is gonna explore some old mines, glad I did, the kid could die.

Alex and Gabe met up with Jed, Gabe's boss. Guy's a jackass, but hey, like I always say, your employer is not your friend.

Alex and Gabe walked home, pretty nice place. Gabe announced that the place is now Alex's, Gabe lives with Char now. Alex CHOSE to say that it makes them happy.

Turns out that Gabe indeed was, and was, and still is a total dork, and Alex CHOSE to say that he's a lovable dork, and started air guitairing with a broom.

This guy named Mac shows up, claiming that Gabe is fucking his girl. He starts beating up Gabe, real hard. and Alex got REAL upset, and CHOSE to give into her rage, beating Mac bloody. Damn that was intense! Mac then called Alex psycho, and took off. As far as I'm concerned Alex saved Gabe's life, but sadly Gabe just got frustrated with her, and slammed the door on her, coming back a moment later, and saying he needed to head to work.

Alex went to go unpack, and commented on their things from the group home. Apparently Alex only had one friend in the group home, everyone and everything there sucked save them.

Alex looked through Gabe's things on his desk. Apparently he did and interview with Mac's partner, and Mac thought they slept together because of it. Jesus!

Alex looked at a picture, apparantly Alex and Gabe's parents sucked. The dad was an asshole, guessing an abusive one. The mom...guessing she became some sort of drug addict.

Went through Alex's Journal, feel like I missed something very specific and big here. Missed whatever the message was for the song that Alex played too.

Ok, I'll take a break, and post this.

Oooh, Charlotte is dark skinned. Oooh, bet that drives the GamersTM(and by that I mean the ones that throw a temper tantrum when a trans character exists in a game, or a woman doesn't look like a supermodel.) up the wall, so hell yeah. Here's to visibility!

So just like that Alex has a job in the bar. I took an order, and I assume I got the order right(I just guessed). Anyways, got a "sidequest" to find a special bottle of whiskey. Didn't take too long to find it. and yeah, Duckie offered me some, and I had some. Duckie loved it, but their partner and Alex despised it.

Mac shows up, asking Alex to not say anything. Riley showed up, and Mac claimed Gabe sucker punched him after he just wanted to try to talk to him. Alex CHOSE to tell Riley the truth, and Riley ended their relationship. Go Alex. Go Riley too, got so many friends and family members who refused to leave bad relationships, and make every excuse on on the planet to stay there forever.

Then the game REALLY took me off guard, and a cop shows up, saying that he needs to take me in for questioning as it's my first day and I already punched out someone. I tell him what happened, and he claims that he's pranking me. Yeah, fuck you pig! But of course this game, like literally every tv show ever made lives in a magical fantasy world where all cops are even so much as allowed to not be bastards!

Anyways, that was a lot to take in. Gonna take a break and post this, then continue.

It's actually not completely unheard of that parents might name fraternal twin children Alexander and Alexandra (like the twins in Josie and the Pussycats). It's only really a problem if they both shorten their nicknames down to Alex, but there are other ways to shorten both names.

Similarly, I actually used to know twin girls named Melody and Melissa, and their nicknames were Dee and Liz, not Mel and Mel.
