our government took away time-and-a-half OT pay. Though the promise of "it will help create jobs!"

it amplified some bonuses for management who are judged on their payroll budget amongst other things, but it most certainly did not create any jobs.

why would companies avoid using OT when they can just trot the same people out there and pay them the same? Or in the case of my former employer, illegally not pay them at all! ""b-b-but you're on salary". Not knowing the law is not an excuse for breaking the law.

I think it is funny, that companies will underpay their workers but seemingly have no problem pissing aways on new toys.
