Because hot springs can be fatal before touching the water and you can still into those. But orange water is a fun idea, although the consistency is nothing like that. Obi-Wan and Anakin would have caught on fire and been killed long before getting anywhere near the lava just due to the ambient heat it gives off; they would not be engaging in a lightsaber duel mere feet above the surface of a river of lava that is so hot it actually has incandescence and decent flow properties. Zeus posted... Pretty sure there's some sinking with the real lava? Or is it too solid to actually sink through? Lava is molten rock; a human body doesn't have the density to sink into it.
