I feel the same about the Dillon games on 3DS. Dillon is great as a character design, but I can't stand the tower-defense part of his games. If it was just the action parts or an action-adventure, I'd be all over it.

With how every chick in the series has huge boobs, I was almost surprised they didn't go as far as giving all the guys huge boobs too. Really did seem to be their thing...

As far as gameplay goes though, something about the original game just didn't appeal to me, but Risky's Revenge and Half-Genie Hero were pretty cool. I haven't got around to playing the other two yet.

It's not a gimmick? It's a series mechanic

Anyways, Half-Genie Hero is solid, but the worst in the series aside from the GBC title. I still really liked it, but definitely wished it kept the metroidvania structure

Seven Sirens >= Pirate's Curse > Risky's Revenge > Half-Genie Hero > GBC

I LOVED Pirate's Curse but thought Half-Genie Hero wasn't nearly as good after playing that. Still fun, but probably would have liked it more if I played it before Pirate's Curse.
